Last week we had the opportunity to bring some of the most forward-thinking members of Europe’s HR analyst & advisor community up to speed on how NGA is doing as a business and what our plans are for the future.

Last Thursday November 15th, NorthgateArinso Belgium was awarded a HR Excellence Award for 'Best HR Technology & BPO Company'. NGA brought home the award for the third time in three years.

When we first launched Moorepay – a cloud-based integrated HR and Payroll solution – in March this year, we knew it could be a true game changer for the small and medium sized business market in the UK. Industry analysts were impressed with our open and honest approach to the pricing and positioning of the product and seven months on it’s fantastic to say that we have secured 300 new client wins.

There is a lot I am charged with as chief operations officer for NorthgateArinso (NGA) but one of my most important roles is keeping NGA, and by extension our clients, in check.

Since assuming leadership of NorthgateArinso in 2009, I have been incredibly impressed and inspired by the dedication, brilliance and work ethic of our team. The growth we have experienced and innovations we have driven are something that we all should be proud of. We are "behind the scenes people" – working to help our clients better manage their talent and resources so that they can focus on the tasks that deliver greater business value.

With business leaders looking to reduce overheads, being able to justify the HR team’s time and resources is more important than ever. Reporting & analytics are crucial to demonstrate HR’s value to the business and technology has a leading role in creating transparency and improving efficiency.

Ten years ago, NorthgateArinso (NGA) undertook the largest public sector HRO project of its kind by working with the State of Florida to implement its People First system – a HR framework that serves more than 200,000 employees and retirees. We are excited to share that this groundbreaking project continues to evolve and was recently awarded a 2011 Brandon Hall “Excellence in Learning” Silver Award.

Creating a compelling business case is one of the most difficult tasks that should start before or at the start of any transformation efforts. Without a business case that justifies the solutions and services an organization wants to move to, most organizations are unable to gain executive approvals.

The areas typically considered for the business case include costs associated with in scope resources, overhead / infrastructure and third party costs.
